Modernizing field reading

In a logic of optimizing field operations, STEG wished to digitalize the meter reading process for electricity (LV) and gas (LP) meters. The goal: replace manual methods with a reliable mobile system, allowing to collect, control and transmit data in real time.

A mobile solution for field agents

The system relies on portable data entry terminals (TSP) equipped with a dedicated mobile application. Meter readers can enter meter readings, add observations and manage their rounds directly in the field, even in mobility situations.

Data reliability and control

The solution integrates advanced control mechanisms to guarantee data quality. The entered readings are automatically verified, with consistency checks and alerts in case of discrepancy between actual and theoretical consumption.

Integration with the STEG information system

An interfacing platform ensures secure communication with the customer information system. It allows to load rounds, transfer reading data and synchronize information between the field and the central system.

Operations monitoring and tracking

The system offers complete visibility over reading activity thanks to dashboards, statistics and detailed reports. Managers can track performance, manage teams and validate collected data.
